Quick Quilt

Yeah! I have a day off from the elevator and have had a great one so far! Had breakfast after church with friends, stopped and got a few groceries and then home to sew. Had to put my newest project aside and start a raggedy quilt for my daughter who is having her second back surgery in a few weeks and she needs a new quilt. I made her a raggedy quilt years ago and it is just way beyond the repair stage so a new one is in order for snuggling and recouperating. Nothing like a quilt to take away the pain.

Now, I just pray that this surgery will take care of my daughter's back problems and she will be able to live her life without all the pain she has had all these years!

That sounds just like my oldest daughter. Her first back surgery didn't do the trick but the second one has made her life so much better. She's no longer in the wheelchair or even using a cane! Now if she can just lose the weight she gained when she couldn't get around her back will be even better! Best wishes for your daughter's recovery. blessings, marlene

Back problems are no fun at all. I hope the surgery does the trick this time. A nice snugly quilt will surely help with the recovery.

I hope that all goes well with the surgery, and I'm sure that a brand new snuggly quilt from her mother will certainly comfort.

You have a nice stack of fabrics there and I'm sure she'll love what you create.

Hopefully the surgery will help your daughter's back. A new quilt will help her feel better during recovery - wrapping herself in her mama's love.

You are so right...nothing makes you feel better than a nice warm blanky when you're recuperating. I made a fleece tie blanket to take to the hospital with me when I had my cancer surgery and it still a special blanket. I use it all the time and remember who soft and cuddly it was at a time in my life that didn't feel so cuddly. Praying your duaghter does well and gets some relief from her pain.
