Yeah! I have a day off from the elevator and have had a great one so far! Had breakfast after church with friends, stopped and got a few groceries and then home to sew. Had to put my newest project aside and start a raggedy quilt for my daughter who is having her second back surgery in a few weeks and she needs a new quilt. I made her a raggedy quilt years ago and it is just way beyond the repair stage so a new one is in order for snuggling and recouperating. Nothing like a quilt to take away the pain.
Now, I just pray that this surgery will take care of my daughter's back problems and she will be able to live her life without all the pain she has had all these years!

Rainy Day!
Yeah!! It rained so maybe we won't have to work late today. :D
I have been plugging away on this new quilt, too tired when I get home lately to get much done but managed to get a few blocks put together. Am liking it!!
Miss looking at all my favorite blogs, love to see what everyone is doing. Keep my fingers crossed it will be a regular work day and will have time this evening. Miss you all!!

Plugging Away
Another beautiful fall day here in Indiana. It is still dark outside but the sun will be breaking the horizon shortly. Am ready for another day of harvest at the elevator but had to show that I was still around and doing a little sewing in my spare time.
I just love pink and brown and have alot of scraps for this project. It is coming along slowly but I know I will love it when it is done. I do get to check out a few blogs before work but not as much as I would like. I miss you all!!

My First Schnibbles!
I finished my first Schnibbles quilt and I love it! All done in scraps and fabrics I have had forever. I will definately treasure this one for years to come.
Harvest is in full swing here, working 7 to 7. It is amazing how fast the day goes when you are busy! I am blessed that hubby has dinner ready for me when I get home this time of year. Time to get a bite to eat of breakfast and then off I go. Happy Harvest everyone!!

Baby Quilt Finish
It feels so good to be getting these smaller quilts done. Below is one for our "Quilting Ministry" at church. This quilt will go to one of the babies in our congregation when it is dedicated. We have been doing this for a couple of years now and it is so much fun to make these smaller quilts once in a while. I know this one will be loved for years to come.
Hope everyone has had a great Labor Day weekend! I never can believe how fast these holidays fly by, the work weeks never go this fast! :D

Christmas Project Finish
Finally, a finish I can post a pix on! I have been trying to finish up all my old quilts first before concentrating too much on new ones. I haven't been too successful on this issue but Saturday I did finish the last of my Merry and Bright projects! I just love this fabric!!
I still have my "little baskets" quilt to finish with this line of fabric and maybe I will some day. Harvest has started here where I live, thank heaven we are closed for Labor Day, but then it will be 12 hour days until all the grain is picked. The temps have dropped and the humidity has left us for the last few days, gotta love fall!!

THE ORDER HAS BEEN PLACED
I have placed my order from Hancock's Of Paducah and am so excited!! I ended up ordering the FQ bundle of Moda's "Summer's End" and the pattern for the quilt they show made with the fabric. I think I have all the fabrics by Lynne Hagmeier and love how all the leftover scraps from these lines look so great together! I see more than one quilt from these great fabrics in my near future!!
Thanks for all the congratulations, I really do appreicate them. I have always wondered how it would feel to actually win such a great prize and now I know. On to the the sewing room!!
