Can you guess the pattern?

This is a quilt I have wanted to do for a long time but just never got around to it. I decided since I have the time now I would get it cut out and get started. If you can quess the pattern it will be worth a couple of FQ's for you, interested?? I will give you a hint to put you on the right path. This pattern was designed by Evelyn Sloppy.

GOOD LUCK!

My Blue Heaven

I finished piecing "My Blue Heaven" today after lunch and I absolutely love it! I tried hanging it outside on the fence to get a pix but it was too windy and wouldn't stay on it. Had to settle on hanging it on my quilt frame. Once I got the hang of the pattern it went pretty fast so I think I will make one in reds and pinks next. It would make a cute Valentine Quilt don't you think??!!

New Baby Quilt

My sister-in-law called a couple of weeks ago and asked if I could make a baby quilt for her for a friend that was having a little girl. Well, of course I said yes and here it is in all its pink flowery glory! I still have to put the binding on but I just had to post it while I was thinking of it and before I got too engrossed in the NCAA basketball games!
This quilt is approximately 50X50 so it should be useful for many years. I sure hope it matches the little ones nursery! Happy Springy Saturday!!

New Project

I have started another project, like I needed another one, but I have wanted to make my own "Blue Ridge Beauty". I cut up a bunch of fabrics and have more than half of this super quilt done. It has been a challenge for me, my table just isn't big enough to hold it all, and so I have done some ripping and fixing my "OOPS"! I do love how it is turning out though and know it will be a real treasure when it is done. I think I will make one in pinks too, I know one of my grandaughters would like it as an heirloom someday. Pink scraps I have tons of!!

Hope everyone has a quilty weekend! I will be sewing and watching the NCAA tournament, my favorite time of the year!!!!!

New Color for Studio

It is finally done! It seemed to take forever but the painting in the studio is done and I love it! It is a tad brighter in person but it is warm and inviting and that is what we were going for. I also did alot of sorting and prioritizing and vowed not to put anything else in this room! Now I feel so happy to be out here and instead of figuring "what if we did this" I am saying what quilting will I get done today!

A Forgotten Quilt

Have you ever forgotten about a quilt you had made? I sure did! Hubby and I have been painting the quilting studio, glad that job is done, and as we were sorting things to put back after we were done I happened to find this table top sized quilt I had forgotten all about. It is called "Prairie Moon Throw" and I made it in 2004. I absolutely love the colors and it looks great on the table in the entry way.
Now that we are done and everything is back where it belongs it is such a joy to come out here to quilt! Have a great weekend!!

Finally Pieced!

Life got in the way of getting this quilt pieced but thank heaven it is finally done! I had to wait on the fabric for the border and binding and finally finished putting on the flowers today. Now all I have to do is get it quilted and hopefully will work on that when I finish the 4 quilts I have to do for friends. I want to thank everyone for their thoughts on this quilt and the name I drew for the FQ's is...."Phyllis in Minnesota". Please send me your address Phyllis and I will get the FQ's sent out right away. My next project is painting my quilting studio and hopefully will start on that soon, the paint will be here tomorrow and I am so excited about getting rid of these white walls in here. I love color and so color it will be soon!! Hope you all are having a quilty day!

To Border Or Not To Border??

I finished my "Hip To Be Blush" quilt, actually it is a pattern from Kim Brackett's book "Scrap-Basket Surprises" but I thought since I used my Blush FQ stack it would be more appropriate.
My dilema is that I think it might need a solid border around it. Kim's quilt looks great without one but I think this one just might. I think maybe a solid border with some applique flowers would do the trick! I have some pretty FQ's for someone who's idea I will use if you would like to suggest what "you" think would look the best! Friday will be the day I make my decision for a finish and draw for the FQ"s. Have a great day and stay warm!!

Another Start

Decided I would start another quilt to piece along with my Blue Ridge Beauty quilt. This pattern I found in a Kim Brackett book called "Scrap-Basket Surprises". I am using my Bliss FQ Bundle for this quilt so I am calling it "Pure Bliss". The piecing of this block is different but I have the hang of it now.

I am loving this quilt already!!

Ready to Start!

I finished cutting all my little pieces for Blue Ridge Beauty except for the borders,I may have to buy some yardage for them but will have to see how the colors look when they are all pieced together, will start that process tomorrow. I can hardly wait to see what it looks like!

I know I am going to love it!!

Just Had To Do It!

Yes, I just have to do it! I keep looking at Bonnie Hunter's "Blue Ridge Beauty" and I just have to get started on it. I have alot of blue scraps sitting around, I really need to get some of my fabric sorted by color, and so I thought now is the time to start using some of these up. So I started cutting this afternoon. I also put a friends quilt in my Gammill and so when I get tired of quilting I can sit down and sew little pieces together.
I am not going to get in a hurry on this one. Just going to take my time and do some sorting of scraps along the way. Who know what treasures I might find that I have forgotten about. :D
