You also get a fun "button" to put on your blog. :D
"Quilt Along" with us, it is going to be fun!!!!

I did use up alot of my strips that I had accumulated over the past couple of years and will have to start cutting more and putting them away for future use. It's a great way to make a quilt bigger!
It has also been a rough couple of weeks. You see I lost my oldest daughter to Leukemia when she was just 25 years old. 14 years ago last week was when she went to be with the Lord. Before she passed away, one of the people I worked with that lived in Georgia was a friend and neighbor of Alan Jackson who was my daughters favorite singer. Being the wonderful person that he is, Alan Jackson autographed one of his hats and had it sent to my daughter. My daughter put it in a glass case with her pix beside the hat. I now have this wonderful gift and will always thank Alan Jackson for making my daughter so happy in her final days!
Well, we can't leave her younger sister out! The quilt below is the one I was quilting on when she stopped in last week with her mom and sister and asked me if she could have it. Of course this grandma can't resist when they ask so sweetly so I just finished quilting and binding this quilt and it is ready for her to take home.
I have been enjoying staying home and not working so much! I have worked outside the home for over 30 years and it took me a while to get used to being home and now I am so content in my little world that sometimes it takes alot to get me out of here. With all I have been doing here at home I just can't for the life of me figure out how I found time to go to work!!
This is a Scnibble's pattern called "Roundabout" and I think it will be perfect!
The next pix is for the little one's brother who didn't get a quilt when he was born. I think he will like the funny wierd looking Octopus's in the border, they are a real hoot!!
And this last pix will be a quilt for my cousin's new grandbaby that will be born in about 6 months. It is a Schnibbles pattern "Roundabout" but I will make it bigger. I just love this pattern and if all goes well I will make a lap quilt for myself.
Now, I will figure out if anyone in my little contest from a previous post has the correct pattern that I will be doing after I finish the baby quilt. Stay tuned!
