Some sewing progress!

I have not fallen off the face of the earth but have been busy with family. My daughter who had back surgery spent last week with us but is back home again and doing great! It has been rough for her but definately worth it.

I have been slowly working on my "Pick & Choose" quilt and just have more sashing strips to add and then the gazillion triangle squares. Oh, first I have to square them up!!
After I turned off the sewing machine last night I was looking for something under my cutting table and found this big silver box. I couldn't remember what I had in it so I opened it and found the "Piece & Plenty" quilt blocks I had started a looonnnggg time ago. Wow, it was just like Christmas!! I opened it and I love it as much as I did before and will get this one finished up next!

Why did I put it away? Why didn't I stick with it and get it finished? Well, not anymore! I am going to finish up what I start this year. That's my story and I am sticking to it! Have a wonderful quilty day and stay warm!!

I was looking at the pattern for that Pick & Choose quilt last night. It's so pretty, and definitely on my list of stuff to do one day.

And I LOVE the Piece & Plenty quilt! Such wonderful fabrics.

Glad your daughter is doing well!

It's dangerous at my house to tuck a project away into a box. But it's such a treasure later to find them again. LOL

Finishing what we start is a good goal for us all. Still, it is a nice little gift to find a forgotten treasure. I hope you daughter mends well, back problems are no fun at all.

I'm glad your daughter is doing better. That pick and choose quilt is beautiful. As is your newfound project. I've got bunches of those tucked away here and there.

I have the Piece and Plenty BOM all nicely packaged...not even started. Maybe watching you will motivate me to get moving with that project! I love them.
