Great Weekend!

What a great weekend hubby and I had! It was the weekend the company I work for had our Christmas party in Indianapolis. On our way to the hotel we stopped and a quilt shop in Carmel, IN and on the way home we stopped at Quilts Plus in Indy.

I picked up a few things at both stores. :D The fabrics are so not me, I usually do the darker colors and the Civil War fabrics. These should be alot of fun and reminded me of spring. It is just around the corner right???

Christmas party? That's interesting.

Aww...Quilts Plus....my favorite store. ;D And those are unusual fabrics for that store too...but I like them! It's nice to mix things up every now and then.

I tend to go with darker fabrics as well but every once in a while a girl needs a little "springiness" and this winter especially. Love them!

Like you I prefer darker and reproduction fabrics but while at the quilt shop this week I bought bright happy fabric to make a wedding present quilt for my niece! She's very young so I'm hoping it will fit her taste but even so, I just wanted to sew on something spring like. :) blessings, marlene

I think after the winter we've had, everyone is ready for some 'spring', be it in cloth, paper or sprouting up from the ground.

Love your blog.
