Getting Ready for Christmas

It is a beautiful August day but I am thinking Christmas. I have always loved the Merry & Bright fabrics, one of my all time favorites, and have been working on finishing up some small pieces that were started last year. The little quilt below is now all quilted and bound, ready for Christmas.

This table runner however has yet to be quilted. I am thinking about quilting it the old fashion way, by hand. It has been a long time since I have quilted by hand, and with this small project at least it won't be too hot to hold on my lap.
Anyone else working on Christmas projects??

I made two Christmas quilts for my shop's Christmas in July. With all the new fabric out, I will probably make a couple more projects - probably smaller ones.

Both of these are so cute. I like to hand quilt too and this one won't take too long. I say go for it and have fun.

I love "vintage" ornaments -- so I really love that first little quilt! Too cute!
That second one will be a great quilt to practice your hand-quilting! :o)

I've always liked that pattern!!
I copied a wool pattern for Santa a few days ago- does that count?
I guess that means I'm thinking about the holidays;)

Glad that I am not the only person that works on Christmas year around.

The quilt and table runner are both so cute! It's never too early to start working on Christmas projects.

Oh yes. I've just started a table runner for us for Christmas and this week I'm starting a Super King sized quilt for my cousin and her new hubbie for Christmas.

Love and hugs Gina xxx

Those are really cute! I usually have 'something' for Christmas on the go.
