Back Home and Back to Normal???

It has been quite a long week and I am so glad it is Saturday! My sweet mother in law passed away this last week so we spent a few days in the beautiful mountains of Kentucky where her funeral took place. Heaven is so much better with her there and we will see her again one day.

As far as quilting is concerned, I am ready for a new project, all the old ones will wait for me, and these are the scraps I have decided to use up. I have a pattern by Kaye England that I think will be perfect for all these scraps from my "Crabapple Tree Quilt". I have sorted most of the scraps but as you can see I still have a pile in the top of the pix. This will be a perfect quilt to make during harvest season. I need to continue to sew to keep my sanity!! :D

The weather has changed to this wonderful fall feeling, cool in the early mornings and evenings and pretty warm during the day. What a great time of the year!
Happy quilting one and all!!!

Sorry to hear about your mother in law. Funerals are always a bittersweet opportunity to see family who live far away. Glad you are finding something new to work on. What a great reward for all the UFOs you have polished off recently.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother In Law -- I am sure you are right, that Heaven is a better place with her there. Kentucky is lovely, my Grandma lived there when I was a child.
Love the colors of your Crabapple Quilt, so I'm sure this new one will be a beauty too!
