Back to Sewing

Christmas is over, the tree is gone, and the decorations are put away. Another wonderful holiday here with many happy memories. Here is the quilt I was working on and is now bound, labeled, and hanging on the quilt rack in the living room. I love the colors and will enjoy covering up with it this winter.

Below is my grandson's honor jacket that needed some patches added. The ones on the back were easy to add but I couldn't use my machine to add the ones for the sleeves that are leather. Need a professional for those. Don't you just love it when your grandchildren ask you to do things like this for them?

Your new quilt is beautiful! I love how you set the blocks!
I just finished sewing on 10 merit badges for a Scout leaders son. (David should be getting more soon!) I can relate... :o)

It is nice to feel needed. The colors on your new quilt are so rich and warm. What a great quilt to snuggle with.

It's a nice compliment in a way, that grandchildren come to us for their sewing needs.

Your new quilt is so pretty. Love the reds and tans you selected.

I remember sewing those patches on my kids' jackets, through leather and the heavy wool. It was a challenge. Somebody's been a busy student!

I love your quilt! This one has been on my to-do list for a while now. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to making it. I love those red fabrics.

You're such a sweet grandma to sew on your grandson's patches!
