Since I haven't been machine quilting all that much when I get home from work lately, I have been doing some hand sewing instead. I have quite a few of the hexagon units done now and decided to see what they will look like put together. On the Hexagon blog I printed out the pix of the quilt that is put together like I am doing this one. I have done some undoing the first evening but now have got the hang of how the units will go together.
I'm really liking how this is coming together. I think I might just make a small lap, it will take me years to make a full sized one. :D

That looks great. What is the address of the Hexagon Blog? Need to get back on mine. Like you, think it will just be a lap quilt. Those things are time consuming but fun.
That is stunning! I am enjoying watching your progress on these!
That is looking really sharp! I saw another one over at

that looks really nice. It's been slow going for her for a while but now it's taken off by leaps and bounds.
They sure do make a sharp looking quilt. I don't think I'd ever get one done so I won't start, I'll just admire everyone elses.
Very nice, I like how you centered the flowers on the light print.
This is so beautiful. Love the fussy cut on the Inkwell fabric and the others. WOW.
I couldn't find the picture you mentioned that is the pattern you are doing; could you send link?
Looks fantastic! I love the cream separately them...good job! Keep going!
Makes me want to dig out my plastic bag of hexagons. They've been hiding in the closet for years. Almost, I said, Almost! LOL. Looks lovely. Keep posting pics.
That will be very nice!
Looks wonderful!
This is going to be a beautiful quilt, one to be passed down to each generation. Can't wait to see when it is finished.
Oh, you are doing one of those hexagon quilt designs that I really like!
I think a small quilt sounds fabulous. I can't imagine how long a bed sized quilt would take. They are looking terrific. I love the way you are putting them together.
Wow! They look great. I know there is a lot or work involved in these little "treasures".
You amaze me Carol---you simply amaze me. This quilt will be such a treasure when finished!
side note: I have to chuckle at my word verification; it sounds like a word I would make up and say in the middle of class:
yessest
Ooooooo....I just HAD to comment one more time ONLY because the word verification is one of my TRULY favorite words when my students come to me with some silly excuse....
a-hem.....
BUMMER
It is a beautiful setting. It looks wonderful.

Love those hexagons! It really makes me want to do some of these.
This is going to be a gorgeous quilt. I pulled out my GFG hexagons tonight to attempt to figure out how to connect them.
