Gloomy Wednesday

It is gloomy out this morning but the forecast is for rain. We have had quite a bit this spring and everything is so lush and green. The new header pix is one I took of some of the flowers blooming in the side yard. The colors are so yummy!
I have been admiring the little baskets that so many quilters are making and I just couldn't resist any longer. I received my book "When the Cold Wind Blows" Saturday and have been trying to figure out what fabrics to use. I am going to stick with my stash on this one. I love the browns and pinks but I have so much of the "Merry & Bright" leftover from other projects that I think I will use those and make another Christmas quilt.
I have been working on getting my old quilts quilted that have been piled in the closet. Monday evening I stacked them on my cutting table and pulled fabric for backings. They are in plain view now and I "WILL" get them quilted this summer! I have cut way back on customer quilts and only have 6 left to do and then I am done until all my quilts are done. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :D
I love this particular quilt that I am quilting on now. I love the colors and it was all from my stash too, it makes me think of fall and cool weather. One more quilt almost done that I can mark off my list. Life is good!

Those flowers are gorgeous! I've never seen that color of daylillies before. Do you know the name?

Love the quilt and fabric choices. I need to work on using up my stash too...

It's raining here today....we need it. We have missed a lot of the showers that you guys have gotten. From the looks of the map I think the whole state got some rain today. I wish I had mowed grass yesterday....:(

We had lilies this color a long time ago & then one day, they never came back ... who knows. Love the header.

Our horrible storm wen through last night ... nasty lightening & thunder & torrential rains ... TG we missed the lima beans sized hail.

Those little baskets are adorable. I've seen one version or another on so many blogs. I may just have to give in and do some too. I know I'll enjoy watching your progress.

Love the quilting on this one...good idea, cutting back on quilting for others....I feel that I do so much sewing for classes and do quilt some for others, so am trying to catch up so I can just do something for fun!

Your flowers are gorgeous! I could send you LOTS of heat & sunshine from S.TX if you would like some. We have enough to share! Of course, you would also get the horrible humidity with it too!

We've been having 92-97 degree days here! Whew!
