I found some wonderful background fabrics. It seems I am always needing lights so these just fit the bill. The Back Door in Indy is one of my favorite shops. They had quite a few quilts of Edyta Sitar there and all of her patterns. I guess she will be visiting the shop in the near future so I just had to have a couple of her new patterns that I don't have. They are time consuming but so worth it. I have a quilt made of one of her first patterns that is all put together but not quilted yet. I will show it when it's all done. :D The other shop we stopped at after lunch was "Quilt Quarters" which is where I got the wonderful roll of fabrics and the print everything is sitting on. I spent alot of time just wandering there, too many wonderful prints, just couldn't make up my mind.
Here are a couple of wonderful books I picked up. I also got the "fresh vintage sewing" by Fig Tree Quilts. Love-Love-Love her patterns! All in all it was a wonderful day! Good food, great fabrics, and a wonderful hubby who made the day so special by being patient. He is a keeper and I am blessed!

Saturday Shopping with Hubby
Saturday hubby and I set off for Indianapolis to hit a couple of quilt shops that I don't get to very often. You can imagine how excited I was, being able to take all the time I wanted, browsing around and really enjoying myself. Of course I wanted it all but ended up with just what I really thought I needed.

Those are some nice finds! Love those patterns, can't wait to see what you make next!
Great shopping trip & wonderful for hubby to be so patient. My daughter lives in Greenwood, so when I am there on a visit, I always have to go to both of those shops! Great selections.
Oh..you did get some pretty items! Looking forward to show and share now.
Wish I had that backing fabric. I'm getting tired of using things out of my stash and pieceing them. Sounds like a great shopping day.
Great buying, gorgeous fabric..
You can never have enough backgroud fabrics..

I love all your background fabrics. I see quilt that are made with plain white or cream backgrounds, and they look great, but I love to have all those little patterns and variations dancing around -- it adds so much interest. You are lucky to have such a great shopping companion
Love all the background fabric, I seem to always be on the look out for those.
I think you better keep that one. (Hubby)
Thanks for sharing, great trip.

I'm joining in--I always seem to be short on interesting backgrounds too. Looks like your shopping was a great success.
Very good shopping trip. I love all the fabrics that followed you home. I have the Remember Adelina book, I want every quilt in that book.
Yummy, yummy fabrics! If you find you dont have room for any of them, I am sure I can find a space... :o)
