The skies are gloomy and grey and we received 1/2 inch of rain last night so I am sitting here at work, finishing up paperwork and getting some checks written, and then I will hopefully get to go home. Our corn dryer is down and will be worked on today and we are full of wet corn so we can't take anymore until what we have it dried and moved to another bin. Our ground pile is 2/3 done and moving along nicely. All in all, it has been a good fall so far.
As far as quilting goes, it is going slowly. I have been working on the same Christmas quilt in the early mornings but have just been too tired to do much. It will get done by the holidays, I hope. :D
My hubby surprised me yesterday when I got home. He had been in Lafayette picking up some things and when I got home last night I found he had bought me a new cutting mat! My old one had grooves in it so bad from wear that I have to cut each piece of fabric at least 2 to 3 times. It is wonderful to be able to only make one pass!! He not only brought me a mat but he also bought this FQ group of Jo Morton! I was totally shocked but he knows how much I love Jo's fabric. I am so lucky to have a hubby that does
things for me like this. I guess you would say he is a keeper!!!

What is the name of the Christmas quilt? I really like those present blocks, very cute. As for your DH, I'd say he's definitely a keeper! Very thoughtful of him.
Love your christmas quilt, and I know what it's like not getting to quilt as much as you want whenever you want. Well anyway, I'd say he's a keeper also. My sisters husband gets involved with her quilting as well, mine on the other hand wouldn't have a clue. Oh well he's cool about other things.
He certainly is a keeper! My husband surprised me one year when he bought me a Singer Featherwieght sewing machine. Now, I need to introduce him to Jo Morton....or at least point him in the right direction.
That christmas quilt is awesome! Somebody is going to love it!
Sure will be glad when harvest is over for your sake. Really like the xmas quilt you are making and I would definitely agree he is a keeper.
What a keeper for your hubby! Mine would have just handed me the money and said "I don't pick out fabric!" But good for you! Like the quilt!
Great Christmas quilt - I'm into brights and pretties at the moment - love it!
What a thoughtful hubby - hang onto him!
Hugs - Lurline!
Ahhhh yes---thank you for the ever-important reminder of how NICE a new cutting mat is. Mine is to the point where I'm taking 2-3 passes to cut too! *not so happy grin* I guess mine will do until Christmas time though---maybe Santa will treat me as nice as your husband is treating you. :0)
I love the colors of the FQ's!
Love the new fabrics, such pretty colors. Can't wait to see what you do with them. My husband isn't into quilting, it's nice that yours is.
Love your christmas quilt, and how the blocks are with bows..
Your Dh is a keeper for sure, how thoughtful of him...
Hugs
