I am looking for a pattern and I hope someone can help me out. I have been going through my quilt kits and doing some sorting and I came across a bundle of fabric for a quilt but no pattern with it. The quilt is called "Acorn Quilt" and the fabric looks like Nancy Halvorsen fabric. I have gone through all my books but do not find that pattern in any of them.
I will be happy to swap a few FQ's for a copy of this pattern if anyone has it.
Thanks in advance for any and all help in this!
Am I the only quilter that does something stupid like this????? I guess this is what happens when I keep kits as long as I do. :=(

Finally Pieced!
I just finished piecing my "Basket Of Logs" quilt and couldn't be happier! I had quilted this quilt for a friend many years ago and have wanted one of my own ever since. The border on this quilt challenged me until I finally got the hang of it. I know I will use this on other quilts in the future.
I did use up alot of my strips that I had accumulated over the past couple of years and will have to start cutting more and putting them away for future use. It's a great way to make a quilt bigger!
Have a quilty weekend!!

Fun Week-Tough Week
I am still plugging away and working hard to get my "Basket Of Logs" quilt done. I took time out to help my grandaughters with their quilts but am now concentrating on these blocks. I have all the baskets done and am working on the log blocks. I am so excited and will definately be keeping this one for me.
It has also been a rough couple of weeks. You see I lost my oldest daughter to Leukemia when she was just 25 years old. 14 years ago last week was when she went to be with the Lord. Before she passed away, one of the people I worked with that lived in Georgia was a friend and neighbor of Alan Jackson who was my daughters favorite singer. Being the wonderful person that he is, Alan Jackson autographed one of his hats and had it sent to my daughter. My daughter put it in a glass case with her pix beside the hat. I now have this wonderful gift and will always thank Alan Jackson for making my daughter so happy in her final days!

Busy Busy!
I have been having so much fun lately! I have pieced a few quilts but have been trying to get some of the ones I have already pieced quilted! My grandaughter Jenna has been in to visit with me and to finish piecing her quilt that she started a while ago. She is so busy with school and other activities that it is fun when she has time to come in to visit and sew. Here is a pix of the quilt she pieced and I just finished quilting. She hasn't had time to learn how to quilt on my machine yet so that will be her next lesson. I am excited about teaching her and hopefully she will love the quilting process and continue it as she gets older.
Well, we can't leave her younger sister out! The quilt below is the one I was quilting on when she stopped in last week with her mom and sister and asked me if she could have it. Of course this grandma can't resist when they ask so sweetly so I just finished quilting and binding this quilt and it is ready for her to take home.
I have been enjoying staying home and not working so much! I have worked outside the home for over 30 years and it took me a while to get used to being home and now I am so content in my little world that sometimes it takes alot to get me out of here. With all I have been doing here at home I just can't for the life of me figure out how I found time to go to work!!
Happy Quilting to all!!

Where Has The Time Gone??
This is the longest time I have been away from blogging and I have missed it terribly, so I am making time today to do some catching up.
I have been doing alot of quilting for friends and for myself and have been working on piecing a couple of quilts that I have wanted to make for a long time. My grandaughter has also been here to work on her quilt and it is now pieced. The backing fabric has been ordered and she is wanting to quilt it herself on my machine. I am so proud of her and can hardly wait until her quilt is done.
I have also been looking for a new job, left my old job in Nov. It took me a while to adjust to the old routines but have finally adjusted. I still get up at 5:00 a.m. but I love that time of the day, so quiet and fresh. Hope to be able to plant the garden soon, had alot of rain!
I have rambled enough, but it is sure good to be back again!
