Christmas in June

Yes, I am working on Christmas pieces in June.
I have talked before about a friend of mine that will piece a quilt for me for quilting for her, well, these pieces will go on a quilt that she has pieced. I still need 79 holly leaves and about 65 more berries but I have plenty of time to get them done before the holidays.
There is an "NCIS" marathon this weekend on TV which is perfect company for me this evening while I work on this project. Just gotta love
Agent Gibbs!

Your work is most beautiful, my dear friend. I also work on Christmas items all year on and off. Thank you for sharing.
Happy Quilting!

Wise lady, to be working on a Christmas project and we're not even in July yet.
Does this friend who'll be helping have a name that begins with "A" ?

Ooh - la-la girl! You know it! {regarding the Agent Gibbs comment} That man needs to be nominated for Sexiest Man of the Year!! ;0) Mind you, Denozo (sp?) isn't hard on the eyes either. And for THAT matter, Abby is one of the best characters out there right now :0)

Oh yeah---something quilty....
;0)
Christmas in July is on my agenda! But DEFINITELY NO APPLIQUE :0)

It is fine to work on Christmas items. I am also starting to. I am in the middle of designing a Christmas Laprobe. If I don't start early, Christmas will be over once again, without me making myself a laprobe.

Nothing like working on Christmas when it is 100 outside. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.

I'm with you. I work on Christmas all year long. I love it and I never get tired of the beautiful greens and reds.

I too am and NCIS fan and I couldn't turn the TV off of the marathon. I don't have a TV in my quilting room but I did get some tatting done while watching. I cannot sew and watch TV at the same time. I love Agent Gibbs but I love Ducky. I have always been a David McCallum fan. Especially when he was on the Man From Uncle. Anyway, we won't go there...I just love the show. I just found your blog again. I am now following so I won't miss anything now. Hugs, Linda

How smart to work on Christmas while it is the heat of the summer. I always get inspired right after Thanksgiving. Maybe I should work a year ahead? Those berries and leavers are going to look great on the finished quilt. An NCIS marathon is the perfect accompaniment to applique.

You gave me the push I needed. I pulled out some Christmas blocks from last year. I made 12 more and put the top together today. I'll be copying you too on the holly leaves and berries and put some of those on this little quilt too. thanks for the push. It was just what I needed. Hugs, Linda
