New Quilt Started

I promised myself I would not start another quilt until I finished the ones I already have started but I just couldn't resist this one. I have wanted to make this one for at least
a couple of years and tonight I started piecing "Old Time Treasures". This is made with nothing but scraps which is one of my priorities this year. Do you find fabric you forgot you had when you go through your stash? Alot of this fabric was forgotten, but not anymore! Here is one block done, just had to put one together to be sure it was going to look like I wanted it to. Love it! This is just the beginning and have a long way to go but it should be awesome.
This next picture is of the 1/2 square triangles which came the blocks above, there are more than 120 of them which I will make into a smaller quilt when the one above is done.

This will be a great project to take to Canada with me, if I can wait that long! Now that all the pieces are cut I just might have this all pieced before we leave. Time will tell!

What is Old Time Treasures? I like that! Each block put together becomes another pinwheel! Plus bonus triangles! Can't help but think I've seen this quilt somewhere and it isn't coming to me at moment! Sigh

I am new to your blog--looked through some of your archives, and you have some really beautiful quilts. The Old Time Treasures quilt looks like it will be another beauty and a good stashbuster too.

Great colors & will be another beauty, am sure! It's always fun to start another project & leave the others "resting".

Oh my goodness, lady -- you have a lot of interest and curiosity in "Old Time Treasures." I agree with all--it'll be so pretty.
I knew exactly which quilt you were doing as soon as I read the name. I have the book by E.S. and that's one of many in there that I've marked as "have to make."
I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on it. Great fabric selection!
