Day Off to Quilt!

Today we got a work day off since the 4th of July is tomorrow. YIPPEE! Naturally I am taking the time to quilt one of my quilts, I consider this a bonus day for me and will quilt like crazy and try to get it at least 75% done today.
I have probably mentioned before that a quilty friend of mine will piece a quilt for me in trade for me to quilt one of her quilts. The pix below is of one of the quilts I had her piece for me. I have had it sitting to be quilted for over a year I believe and decided this was a great day to try and at least get a good start on it. The fabrics in this quilt are Nancy Halverson (sp) and Moda's. They really blended very well together.
Tomorrow hubby and I will be going to a Bass Pro Shop to pick up anything we might need for our vacation in August. The one in Portage we have spent a whole day in it is great! They had all kind of different events going on and their restaurant is wonderful. We'll see what kind of fun things they'll have tomorrow. :D
I hope everyone will have a safe and fun holdiay! The summer seems to be going way too fast!!!!

That is such a pretty quilt. I love the pattern.
Wish I had a friend to quilt for me while I do the piecing. You are a lucky lady.
Have fun on your trip.

I've offered to swap piecing for quilting with a friend as well. I think it is a wonderful trade!

Oh Carol, lovely, lovely, lovely. And I ditto Rebecca; I have found that I would so much rather piece than quilt, although my quilting skills have improved now that I can quilt-in-sections.

Have a wonderful weekend

I'd like an arrangement like you have. I need someone to quilt for me. Very nice quilt.

Love your quilt. Hope you had a great time at the Bass Pro Shop. We have one here in Mesa and the restaurant is my DGD's very favorite place to eat. (Guess you know we go there often). Granddaughter's always get their way.
