Another UFO Ready for Quilting!!

What a great day it has been here in N. W. Indiana. It was not real hot and muggy today but it was more fun staying inside to finish piecing a quilt that has been calling for me to get it done!

It's called "Circles Of Scraps" by Patricia Riley. It is in the Quilt Sampler 2008 Spring/Summer magazine and my quilt is made all out of Jo Morton fabrics.

This quilt was my first attempt to make these particular blocks and they are not perfect by a long shot but I really like the design they make. So different from what I am used to. I love just looking at them. :D

One other special event I attended this weekend was an annual get together of some of my high school girl classmates. I believe it was our 3rd year of getting together and more girls joined us this year that we haven't seen for years. Alot of reminising, some tears, and a whole lot of laughs, oh, and food. A great time was had by all and we hope more gals will join us next year!

Wow, this is lovely...you did a wonderful job. The fabrics are great too. It's so nice to finish old projects like this. It always makes me wonder why I didn't finish them before so I could enjoy them but, there is just so much time in the day, huh...I can't wait to see this one quilted. Please show it again.

It's good to catch up with old friends, isn't it? I'm glad you had a good girly visit. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Linda

Oh, that is a pretty one, definitely a quilt that you can just stare at forever seeing the patterns shift. Glad you were able to catch up on old times. It can be so hard to stay in touch.

Oh it is wonderful! Caught my eye right away. I started one of these a few years ago (but not from that magazine) and haven't touched it in a while. I need to get going on it again! I love yours!

Love this pattern! I've not seen it before. It looks way more complex than I could handle yet but you're right, the design is really fun.

OMG!!! Both of those quilts are gorgeous!!! You really seem to gravitate to quilts that are more complex and/or involved. Just stunning work!! Thank you for sharing with all of us.

This pattern has been on my 'to do' list for some time and now that I have all my repro fabric sorted, it can finally get started. Love your version!
